CIRCULAR 9 / 2021

FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE

You’ll never be brave if you don’t get hurt.  You’ll never learn if you don’t make mistakes.  You’ll never be successful if you don’t encounter failure”.    Unknown

1.      Parents / guardians must familiarize themselves with the academic revised timetable for school attendance applicable to their child.  Learners staying absent without a valid reason is unacceptable and they may be deregistered from school.

2.      Too many learners fail to complete mandatory SBAs as well as work which they are supposed to complete at home on the days when they do not attend school.

3.      We are still unable to present Grades 10-12 with a Term 1 report as the Education Department did not provide the required electronic subject recording sheets.

4.      We extend our sincere appreciation to parents who availed themselves to be elected as SGB members.  These parents, elected staff and RCL members will selflessly spend many hours of their time on school matters.  We also thank the retiring members for their valuable contribution since 2018.

ASCENSION DAY : 13 MAY

We have sent a special letter to parents/guardians to indicate whether they plan to keep their child/ren at home on Ascension Day.  Most parents/guardians indicated that they will keep their child at home.  The school will be closed to allow all learners to observe this religious day at home. School will resume on 14 May with day 1 Group A.

WINTER UNIFORM

The winter uniform will be compulsory as from 3 May.  The official windbreaker will be available from the end of May at school at R280. The windbreaker does not replace the school blazer.  It can be worn over the blazer.  A school pullover or jersey can be worn underneath the blazer.

OUR SCHOOL IS 60 YEARS OLD!

Our school is celebrating 60 years of academic excellence in Kraaifontein.

As part of our celebration, we would love to initiate a much-needed maintenance program of our infrastructure e.g. classes, building, grounds and services. Let us all support the school and donate R60 towards the
special Infrastructure Maintenance Program as we celebrate 60 years of service to this community.

Donations can be paid into our school account or paid in at
school.
